Reading Day
Reading – The Moonlight of Knowledge Reading is not just a habit, it’s an experience. Behind every page lies a new world waiting to be explored. Each sentence we read sows new thoughts in our minds. That’s why reading is often called “food for the mind.” June 19 is observed as Reading Day in Kerala, in memory of P.N. Panicker, the father of the reading movement. It was through his tireless efforts that Kerala became a land of readers. We owe our rich reading culture to his inspiring vision. In today’s digital age, instead of spending all our time on social media and mobile games, setting aside even a few minutes for a good book can make a huge difference. Only a book can help us escape the noise of the world and find peace within.
